Founded in 2001, the Cherng Family Trust is the multi-generational family office and investment firm of Andrew and Peggy Cherng (the founders of Panda Express / Panda Restaurant Group) and their family.

The company pursues a family-owned, long-term, flexible and sustainable approach to wealth management and values by making direct private equity and fund investments across all industries while actively operating and investing in a large real estate portfolio. Our experienced professionals oversee the administration, finances, investments, legal, and charitable efforts of the Cherng Family to develop our associates, invest in our communities, and effectively grow and sustain wealth.

REAL ESTATE

CFT Real Estate provides a full complement of commercial real estate investment services, including acquisition, asset and property management, ground-up new development, construction, and leasing services for the Cherng Family Trust.

CFT’s diverse real estate activities include direct and joint venture investments in retail, office, industrial, hospitality, multi-family assets, and developable land throughout the US and abroad. The family has been investing in a wide array of real estate types and geographies for over 40 years.

FINANCE & ACCOUNTING

The finance and accounting teams assume the responsibility of recording all financial transactions and maintaining an accurate record of all finances, enabling other departments to make informed financial decisions. In addition, the teams provide tax and financial strategies and planning related to investment advice. The accounting team assists in providing financial reports, such as income statements, balance statements, and cash flow statements, to analyze and assess a company’s financial health.

LEGAL

The Cherng Family Trust also operates a full-service legal department responsible for legal review, analysis, and documentation pertaining to the acquisition, development, leasing, and management of retail, residential, and office real estate property. In addition, the corporate legal team provides legal guidance on joint ventures, business acquisitions, and other alternative investments, as well as corporate, trust and estate, and financial legal matters.
